Housing Award Accolades for Plunkett Homes

Plunkett Homes shone at the 2024 Housing Industry Association (HIA) COLORBOND® Steel Perth Housing Awards, taking out a prestigious project home accolade, and being named as a finalist in other categories.

Plunkett Homes won Project Home up to $500,000, with our Darling Downs home, which was also a finalist in the Project Home of the Year category.

Set in the picturesque semi-rural Darling Downs, this home is all about spacious living areas where family and friends can gather, including a large alfresco space, along with an open-plan living and dining area indoors. The modern kitchen comes with a scullery and a handy laundry room tucked away.

We were also proud to have been recognised as a finalist in the Custom Home $380,000 to $520,000 category of the awards, with a unique family home in Connolly.

This residence boasts a beautiful living and entertaining area at the back, featuring an open plan living and dining space, a modern kitchen with a large scullery and pantry, plus a spacious alfresco area. It was a very worthy finalist!

In addition, a beautiful Hamptons-style home in Piara Waters was named as a finalist in the Project Home up to $500,000 category.

With this home, our clients were keen to recreate a resort-style feel. They achieved that with a clever use of space, giving the master bedroom access to the backyard and pool, whilst positioning the alfresco at the side of the home.

Our display homes have also been recognised in the 2024 HIA COLORBOND® steel Perth Kitchen and Bathroom Awards, with The Kingstown winning two prestigious categories, and acknowledged as a finalist in two other categories.

The Kingstown display home in Bushmead won best bathroom in a display home up to $650,000, and best kitchen in a display home up to $650,000. It was also a finalist for Bathroom in a Display Home of the Year and Kitchen in a Display Home of the Year.

The Brighton display in Mindarie was named a finalist in the Bathroom in a Display Home Over $650,000 category.

Michael Vermey, Plunkett Homes General Manager, said: “Congratulations to everyone involved in the design and build of these beautiful homes. All three are a testament to your hard work and dedication to quality. Thanks also to our trades and suppliers for bringing these homes to life.

“We’re very proud to be entrusted with building people’s forever homes, and continuing the legacy of Plunkett Homes in Western Australia.”
