Yokine is located approximately 8 kilometres from the Perth CBD in the City of Stirling. Yokine started to boom after WWII and was almost fully developed by the 1970s. The dwellings in this area reflect the time, with brick developments, timber-framed houses, and some modern architecture that line the streets. The central location puts residents close to all that Perth has to offer. The commute to the city is an easy 12 minutes’ drive into the CBD. If you’re looking for a bigger shopping experience, then Morley Galleria and Westfield Innaloo are 13 minutes away, and Karrinyup Shopping Centre is just 15 minutes away. Both centres have plenty of fashion outlets, dining options, entertainment venues and health services.
If you’re a family and need schooling options for the kids, there is Yokine Primary School, Carmel Primary School, and Carmel School all located within the suburb borders. Neighbouring Yokine is Our Lady of Lourdes School, Nollamara Primary School, Tuart Hill Primary School and Tuart College. For tertiary needs, Edith Cowan Mount Lawley Campus is a short 5-minute drive. There are 3 childcare centres to choose from in Yokine – Nido Early School, Busy Bees at Yokine and Milestones Early Learning.
